Case Study
Blood Supply Chain Management
National Blood Authority
With business needs not being met by their outdated systems, NBA engaged YNOT for
an ambitious overhaul, which achieved the desired transformation on time and on
budget.
Our Role
We were engaged to lead and deliver a multi-year digital transformation program to modernise the organisation’s critical systems including real-time systems.
Challenge
The organisation’s critical IT systems were outdated and system functions were not fulfilling business needs. Due to legacy systems within the organisation, regular outages were impacting health facilities and hospitals.
Our Approach
YNOT developed a series of key business architecture views to document the user/business needs and priorities of IT systems. To do this, we followed user centric design methodology. Multiple user research workshops were conducted across Australian health facilities to capture user needs. Based on the gathered requirements, we developed systems/solution architecture artefacts, designed scalable solutions and implemented future proof ecosystem (multiple IT systems).
Outcome/Benifits
We delivered agreed transformation program within the agreed timeframe and budget. Multiple national / international systems including BloodSTAR, BloodNET, Australian Bleeding Disorder Registry and Canadian Bleeding Disorder Registry were implemented.
